Laminated glass, commonly known as Safety Glass, is a strong, versatile, low cost glazing material used commonly in the building industry, with one of the few downsides being a commonly held perception that handles cannot be safely attached to the glass due to a high risk of breakage around the holes required to mount them.

Until now, this has meant the more expensive alternative is always specified where glass mounted handles are required.

As part of Lotus’ commitment to learning and innovation we set out to better understand the limitations of holes through laminated glass. We are proud to announce that we have developed a solution to allow handles to be mounted directly to all types of laminated glass.

A range of laminated glass options are available including frosted, mirrored, translucent, coloured, acoustic and decorative glass. These finishes boast the benefits of laminated safety glass, offering illumination and maximising light transfer with additional features that provide privacy and visual embellishment where necessary. This product will suit a range of education and commercial spaces.
