The client’s needs on this job were to separate the main building foyer from the Artspace in the case where private events were being run concurrently with the building being open to the general public. These large format sliders provide a visual and acoustic separation, allow the quick setting up of the space and also package well into the surrounding fixed walls without the need to awkwardly impose on the surrounding spaces with stacked panels associated with conventional operable walls. They also allow for easy access for larger ‘installation’ pieces in the gallery area.Of note in this job are the bottom retracting seals that allow for good acoustics and ease of operation, angled panels for an angled intersection, their large format and their ability to slide into a cavity to be completely concealed.Thanks to all parties for trusting Lotus for this job.
